Telangana Cultural Association has organised Telangana night cum Indian 59th Republic day celebrations in Sunnyvale California


      Telangana Cultural Association(www.telanganaculture.org) has organised Telangana night cum Indian 59th republic day celebrations in Sunnyvale California.The event was a grand success and was attended by several telugu people from Bay Area. The event took place at Grand Indian Buffet, Sunnyvale on Jan 25th night 2008.

      Though it was raining continuously, people from all over bay area have attended the Night with lot of enthusiasm and cheer, children were dressed in indian/Telangana traditional way.

      Mr.Buchanna Gajula president of TCA mentioned that while addressing the gathering that this is the 2nd year we are celebrating Telangana Night & Republic day, he explained how constitution of India is written by Dr. B R ambedkar, who is the father of Indian constitution and handover to the president of India Dr Babu Rajendra Prasad. He requested all the participent families to introduce them self and share their views on Republic day.

      Buchanna Gajula , Vijay Chavva chairman of TCA and Biksham Palabindela, Sect of TCA has done planning and arrangements for the event and also planned brain teasing games and quizzes about India culture and constitution for kids.

      Gande Titupataiah from Local HSS has explained to the kids about the sacrifices made by prominent personalities Like Gandhi, Nehru, Subash Vhandre Bose, Bhagath Singh etc.

     Mr Dilip Kondiparthy of Silliconandhra has explained to the audience with a special emphasis to children about the importance of republic day and its necessity to celebrate and requested children to adapt their traditions and culture without forgetting the age old indian culture.

     KV Reddy who started Rayalaseema Development forum recently, requested people to support with ideas to bring NRIs participation in developing backward Rayalaseema region.He said Rayalseema people are very much impressed by the activities being done by TCA and Paalamoor NRIs.There was good response to his request and many promised to stand by him.

     Srinivas Rao of Sankara Eye foundation has explained to people about Manabadi and telugu learning classes and requested parents to send their kids to these classes.

     Mr Arshad Hussain, Jt Secy of TCA has contributed with his melodious tone by singing Jaya Jaya Hey Telangana Janani Jaya Telangana.

     Vijay Chavva, has thanked the sponsorers Desimovers.com , AAA Jems & Beeds and Bharathfamily.com for supporting the event financially and also Grand Indian Buffet for providing nice dinner.

     At the end Vijay Chavva presented the pearls sets to Venkat Katakam, Nirmala Gadamsetty who won the raffle, which is sponsored by AAA Jems and beeds.
Mrs Srinvas rao, maabadi teacher and her daughter contributed a 'telugu chakkani thota' melodious song.

     Audience including visiting parents from India have thanked organizers for conducting patriotic programs and requested to conduct similar programs very often to keep the next generations in same spirit and confidence in Indian culture.

     The program ended by singing Indian and American National Anthems.
