It was like a dream come true for the telugu music lovers in Minnesota! Manisharma with his 16 member orchestra presented a sensational show for Minnesota's in Jefferson High school auditorium on Friday May 16th. It was a treat of thorough entertainment for over 500 people attended the concert .. first of it's kind in twin cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
The evening's music 'Dhamaka" started with Venkat Kothur's welcome speech inviting the guests and artists, on behalf of organizing businesses, Desi foods, Curry Leaf and Brookdale Cinemas, being sponsors of the event. He introduced the master of ceremony Mr. Guru Murthy a parody artist and known as "Reverse Gear guru" .. an exceptional talent of converting and reciting what ever you say/sing in reverse order letter by letter .. word by word ..on the fly. He introduced the orchestra and started program with a devotional prayer by Murali the singer.It started with big blast as 4 singers - Malavika , Vijayalakshmi, Murali and Mallikarjun presenting an upbeat songs. And the journey of the evining continued with popular songs of top heroes of Telugu film world as the audience exuberance mounting with each song. Reverse gear guru swamy presented some popular songs in reverse order to amaze one and all. He also presented some some parody songs and jokes to amusement of 500 crowed. The sponsors have presented mementos to all the artists while manisharma was presented with a plaque with a song written in honor of his visit to minnesota, by Venkat Kothur. Manisharma has thanked the overwhelming enthusiasm from the audiance during the concert and the efforts of the organizers, Desi Foods, Curry Leaf and Brookdale Cinema for the opportunity to perform for telugu community in Minnesota.
It was a ovation for the the performers which lasted for a while in appreciation of an extraordinary concert ever conducted in twin cities. One the aspects attracted every one's applaude a flaw less and astounding audio system which helped the concert to become a memorable one with exceptional talents of the orchestra. Manisharma and his troupe were extremely happy with the response they got for each song presentation and concert went on until late night. Manisharma enjoyred mingling with enthusiastic fans with picture and autograph sessions. Dancing Ganesha has provided food at the event.
The organizers and sponsors were very happy and the feed back from the audience is pouring in appreciating the efforts of organizers for bringing such a high talented team to Minnesota.
